Use Google maps on the address and you can begin to understand the hardships young Larry endured.

I'm done with the big fella.
No, not because his brilliant debating skills have rocked me back on my heels. Rather because I had a bit of an epiphany re Mr. Correia the other morning.
I have no idea where this thought came from other than I have a predisposition to think in terms of mental disorders since... I have one.
Yes, I'm crazy. Larry's so classy as to blow shit at me about it. Ignorant.
And he calls me a drug addict. Imagine that! Actually, I did some heavier drugs back in high school (before he was born) but never did any of the "white drugs" - just psychedelics, pot and alcohol. He would do well to school himself somewhat on the drug culture. He may want to incorporate some crazed addict into one of his books. But I digress...

Now, these are just a sampling of those that I feel apply. But I don't know. I'm just pulling it out of my ass.
What I do know is this: Crazies can spot crazies, in fact they attract them.
I once had a pastor and boss (I ran his Christian school) who was a lot like Larry but he was dangerous as well. All the girls in the school would tell me "I don't like it when Pastor Glen puts his hand on my shoulder". That is, of course, not Larry. I want to stress that.
I had a roommate, briefly, who was the antithesis. His obsession was being wonderful and "caring" and vaguely scary.
I dated (very - mercifully - briefly - three weeks total, the last two spent trying to break up) a woman who was waaay out there.
Anyway, my purpose here is certainly not to poke fun. I see Larry in an entirely different light now and regret all the shit I've given him.
What's sad - two things actually - personality disorders are very hard to treat.
I have just chronic depression and anxiety, easily moderated with medication. There aren't drugs for personality disorders.
The other thing is: When your brain isn't working correctly, you don't know it. Everything looks okay from in there. You only notice it (I did) when other aspects of your life start falling apart. Larry's life is going great. Good for him.
But unless someone tells you there' a problem - and you won't believe them - you'll never know.
And another in the gun blog crowd is skirting this: Tam.
Ever notice the posts she titles "Overheard at the...". Invariably, they tell the tale of some brilliant witty rejoinder she came up with. No one else is ever, ever allowed the glory.
Anyway, as I said: Larry, go in peace.

Larry... wait for it... MISSED THE POINT! By a mile!
But, he wasn't unaware of the good General, he'd mentioned him in one of his books. how cool is that?
The other link I'd provided to Mr. Large, Bald and Obtuse was one to General Butler's signature work: "War is a Racket".
Well, our boy, working as he does for a defense contractor... you need to feel the proper amount of awe at those two words because, hell, it's all Larry's got.

Anyway... my point was: "War is a Racket"means that death and mayhem are a growth industry for... certain industries.
And endless war means... ENDLESS PROFITS! Kah-Ching!

I need to get busy I guess.
First off, I've never read, nor do I intend to read any books by these poser twats, George Hill and Larry Correia, but... I offered Larry Big-Head some literary criticism (Not for him - I don't read him! The guy's a dick.) for good ole' George Hill who is laboring mightily in the vineyard. I read some pages into the Amazon.com preview and... good on ya', George. Stay in there battin'.
I'll never gainsay any of George's efforts because... hell, the guy's trying - and whoever edits his stuff hates him.
Like I said, Larry is... shit... it's on the tip of Larry's tongue... give me a second...
OH YEAH! HE'S A DICK!
Hill is a dick as well but he's got some birthdays and actual military service on Big-Boy and he's far, far less arrogant and insufferable than Larry.
But I digress; last night I offered writing advice to the (Puh-fucking-leze) NYT "kinda-like", best-selling author.
That is to say, input from someone who, back when Larry was... I don't know; pulling his pud to spreadsheets (I don't know how bean-counters think) or... whatever, was a student at one of the top journalism schools in the country.
And, at one point, I actually fancied myself a writer. Did some stories, poems; all praised to the stars by the professors in charge. But, I thought: I've spent ten+ years on my visual art and it's nowhere close to where I wanted it to be, so I let writing die on the vine.
But I'm still a major grammar cop.

I just picked up this website's name after Ben abandoned it a few years ago. I didn't know the guy but he seemed troubled and I think I would have liked him.
Of all the "blogger" offshoots of the ridiculous "Blogfather" George Hill, Ben alone seemed like a genuine human being - and he was a genuinely good writer.
Seriously good.
Anyway, dumbfuck Larry Correia and who knows who else keep linking to this place so I thought I'd at least give you someplace to arrive.
I'll see how many hits I generate. If none, good I won't have to worry.
If there's interest, hell... maybe I'll dance or something.
